Harmonic Analysis on Spaces of Homogeneous Type
Harmonic Analysis on Spaces of Homogeneous Type by Donggao Deng
English | PDF | 2009 | 160 Pages | ISBN : 354088744X | 3.3 MB
This book could have been entitled "Analysis and Geometry." The authors are addressing the following issue: Is it possible to perform some harmonic analysis on a set? Harmonic analysis on groups has a long tradition. Here we are given a metric set X with a (positive) Borel measure ? and we would like to construct some algorithms which in the classical setting rely on the Fourier transformation.

Homelands and Empires Indigenous Spaces, Imperial Fictions, and Competition for Territory in Northeastern North America, 1690-
Homelands and Empires: Indigenous Spaces, Imperial Fictions, and Competition for Territory in Northeastern North America, 1690-1763 By Jeffers Lennox
2017 | 349 Pages | ISBN: 1442645857 | PDF | 49 MB
The period from 1690 to 1763 was a time of intense territorial competition during which Indigenous peoples remained a dominant force. British Nova Scotia and French Acadia were imaginary places that administrators hoped to graft over the ancestral homelands of the Mi’kmaq, Wulstukwiuk, Passamaquoddy, and Abenaki peoples.*Homelands and Empires is the inaugural volume in the University of Toronto Press’s Studies in Atlantic Canada History. In this deeply researched and engagingly argued work, Jeffers Lennox reconfigures our general understanding of how Indigenous peoples, imperial forces, and settlers competed for space in northeastern North America before the British conquest in 1763. Lennox’s judicious investigation of official correspondence, treaties, newspapers and magazines, diaries, and maps reveals a locally developed system of accommodation that promoted peaceful interactions but enabled violent reprisals when agreements were broken. This outstanding contribution to scholarship on early North America questions the nature and practice of imperial expansion in the face of Indigenous territorial strength.

Higher Segal Spaces
Higher Segal Spaces by Tobias Dyckerhoff
English | PDF | 2019 | 218 Pages | ISBN : 3030271226 | 7.9 MB
This monograph initiates a theory of new categorical structures that generalize the simplicial Segal property to higher dimensions. The authors introduce the notion of a d-Segal space, which is a simplicial space satisfying locality conditions related to triangulations of d-dimensional cyclic polytopes. Focus here is on the 2-dimensional case. Many important constructions are shown to exhibit the 2-Segal property, including Waldhausen’s S-construction, Hecke-Waldhausen constructions, and configuration spaces of flags. The relevance of 2-Segal spaces in the study of Hall and Hecke algebras is discussed.

Differential Equations on Measures and Functional Spaces
Differential Equations on Measures and Functional Spaces by Vassili Kolokoltsov
English | PDF | 2019 | 525 Pages | ISBN : 3030033767 | 5.5 MB
This advanced book focuses on ordinary differential equations (ODEs) in Banach and more general locally convex spaces, most notably the ODEs on measures and various function spaces. It briefly discusses the fundamentals before moving on to the cutting edge research in linear and nonlinear partial and pseudo-differential equations, general kinetic equations and fractional evolutions.

Beyond the Mosque Diverse Spaces of Muslim Worship
Rizwan Mawani, "Beyond the Mosque: Diverse Spaces of Muslim Worship "
English | ISBN: 1788315278 | 2019 | 168 pages | PDF | 2 MB
While mosques are the central house of worship for a majority of Muslims around the world, many of Islam’s communities have developed their own distinctive religious spaces. These complementary spaces serve the different cultures, geographies and interpretations of Islam that continue to enrich the Muslim tradition.

Differentiability in Banach Spaces, Differential Forms and Applications
Differentiability in Banach Spaces, Differential Forms and Applications
English | 2021 | ISBN: 3030778339 | 369 Pages | PDF EPUB | 47 MB
This book is divided into two parts, the first one to study the theory of differentiable functions between Banach spaces and the second to study the differential form formalism and to address the Stokes’ Theorem and its applications. Related to the first part, there is an introduction to the content of Linear Bounded Operators in Banach Spaces with classic examples of compact and Fredholm operators, this aiming to define the derivative of Fréchet and to give examples in Variational Calculus and to extend the results to Fredholm maps. The Inverse Function Theorem is explained in full details to help the reader to understand the proof details and its motivations. The inverse function theorem and applications make up this first part. The text contains an elementary approach to Vector Fields and Flows, including the Frobenius Theorem. The Differential Forms are introduced and applied to obtain the Stokes Theorem and to define De Rham cohomology groups. As an application, the final chapter contains an introduction to the Harmonic Functions and a geometric approach to Maxwell’s equations of electromagnetism.
